Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

CircuitBase is a free reference site with no accounts, no cookies and no advertising. This page explains the little data that is processed when you use it and what you can do about it.

In short

  • No accounts, sign-ups or forms.
  • No cookies, no advertising and no cross-site tracking.
  • Cookieless, aggregated visit statistics from Cloudflare Web Analytics.
  • Your theme and editor drafts stay in your browser.
  • If you email us, your address is used only to reply.

Who is responsible

The site is run by Serhii Shvab, the author of CircuitBase. For any question about your data, write to privacy@circuitbase.tech.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the requested address, the time and your browser type in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. This is necessary to run the site. We use these logs only to diagnose errors and attacks.

How Cloudflare handles this data: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Visit statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are visited, from which countries and websites, and how fast they load. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other sites. We see only aggregated numbers.

Data stored only in your browser

Some settings are kept in your browser's local storage so the site works the way you left it:

  • your light or dark theme and its colour variant;
  • schematics you draw in the editor, saved automatically so they survive a reload.

This data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Sharing a schematic by link

When you share a schematic, the editor compresses it into the part of the link after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part to servers, so the schematic travels only inside the link you give to someone.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and keep them only as long as that conversation needs.

Links to other websites

Pages link to manufacturer datasheets, standards, GitHub (for reports and confirmations) and our YouTube channel. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we do not control what they collect.

Our YouTube publishing tool

CircuitBase uses an internal tool, CircuitBase Studio, which uses YouTube API Services to upload and manage videos on the CircuitBase YouTube channel. It does not access, collect or store data about visitors or other YouTube users.

YouTube's use of data is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Access given to the tool can be withdrawn at any time in the Google account security settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its processing. Because we keep almost nothing that identifies you, most requests concern emails you sent us. Write to privacy@circuitbase.tech; we answer within 30 days.

You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.

Children

The site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data about them.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top and record the change in the changelog. The English version is the reference; translations are provided for convenience.
